2. Wellhead tools Manual wellhead tools such as tongs, elevator and slips are required for lifting and lowering the drilling tools and for screwing and unloading the drilling tools.
The tongs are composed of several tongs with dental plates and a tongs handle, which are connected to each other by hinges. The tongs are used to unscrew the connecting threads of various downhole tools that make up the drill string, such as drill pipe and drill collar. The tongs are used in pairs of inner and outer pairs (one positive and one negative), and are screwed with a cat's head rope.

The elevator is used to suspend, lift and lower the drill string. The inner diameter of the elevator is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the drill pipe, but smaller than the outer diameter of the drill pipe joint. Clamp the drill string joint while working for tripping and tripping.

When the drill string is screwed on or unscrewed, the section of the drill string located in the well shall be temporarily suspended from the rotary table. The slips installed in the hub of the rotary table are used to hold the drill pipe and suspend the drill string.

With the rapid increase in the number of deep wells, hard formations and offshore drilling, the workload of up and down drilling operations is obviously increasing.
